The Waitangi Skate Park is nearby to the boat sheds. Due to the weather conditions of Wellington, skaters can be discouraged to skate. The 'Street Meets Art' design offers a nearby undercover shelter for skaters, street artists and the public to enjoy. There would be street signs along the road to Oriental Bay to direct the public to the boat shed design. Below is a sign I designed in photoshop:
Word of mouth and stickers would also be the main form of getting the new space out into the public awareness/knowledge.
